UKAS was the first such body formed to regulate certification bodies & registrars such as URS. UKAS is recognized by the British Government as the sole national body responsible for assessing and accrediting the competence of organizations in the fields of measurement, testing, inspection and certification of systems, products and personnel. UKAS is a non-profit organization and operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of U.K.

Accreditation by UKAS is the key to ensuring that consumers, suppliers, purchasers and other stakeholders to have confidence in the quality of goods and in the provision of services throughout the supply chain. It demonstrates an organization's competence, impartiality and capability, and helps to underpin the credibility of performance, goods and services in international arenas.

National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) is a constituent of Quality Council of India (QCI). The objective of NABCB is to establish and offer accreditation schemes, based on internationally accepted standards, for CBs and inspection bodies engaged in providing services of system certification, product certification and inspection. NABCB is a member of the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (Association of Accreditation Bodies in the Asia-Pacific Region) and International Accreditation Forum (Association of Accreditation Bodies worldwide). NABCB is also a signatory to the IAF MLA (Multi lateral Arrangement) for Mutual Recognition.

SINCERT was founded in 1991 as a Non Profit Organization, legally recognized by the Italian Government with Ministerial Decree passed on the 16th of June 1995. It states the requirements for the evaluation and certification of quality management systems including construction sector as per SINCERT RT05 document. SINCERT RT05 document is applicable to building companies and installation firms of systems and services.

URS via it’s Italy counterpart under the group is recognized by SINCERT for issuing Certificate of conformity to ISO 9001:2000 Standard in the Construction Sector.

URS in India is recognized by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India as a Recognized body for QMS Certification. Therefore, eligible Micro, Small & Medium clients certified by URS, get reimbursement of certification expenses as per the Scheme.

Director General of Foreign Trade in India provides export incentives to the exporters for their Quality System Certification and maintains a register of Approved Certification bodies. Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) recognizes URS, India, which facilitate clients with export exemption & benefits under the Scheme.

European Community legislation mandates that all products offered for sale in Europe must comply with the Member State's requirements defined by a number of European directives. Notified Bodies are appointed by the UK Department of Trade and Industry to evaluate, test and approve products under the directives for CE marking. MIRA is a notified body for CE marking.

The objective of the Certification Program of WRAP is to independently monitor and certify compliance with the standards, ensuring that a given factory produces goods under lawful, humane, and ethical conditions. It believe that it is not enough to subscribe to these principles only; WRAP also monitors the factory for compliance with detailed practices and procedures implied by adherence to these standards.
Accordia Global Compliance Group, USA is accredited by WRAP for monitoring and certification of factories within their supply chains. URS in India, under URS Inspection Ltd's MOU, collaborated with Accordia WRAP monitoring as per the WRAP Certification program.
