The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is a global membership and certification organization established in 2005, dedicated to promoting responsible business practices throughout the jewellery and watch supply chain — from mine to retail. To ensure that businesses in the jewellery and watch industry operate in an ethical, socially responsible, and environmentally sustainable manner.

Description

In the jewellery supply chain, RJC certification programs are intended to promote ethical business practices. The RJC Standards Committee and several chances for public input and commentary were among the many stakeholders that worked together to set the strict standards that serve as its foundation. Supporting their individual Certification programs are two

RJC standards.- RJC Code of Practices and LGMS

RJC Code of Practices: The requirements necessary for RJC Members to obtain Member Certification.

An extensive spectrum of supply chain concerns, such as business ethics, human rights, social and environmental performance, are covered by RJC's Code of Practices, a ground-breaking guideline for the jewellery industry. Supporting documentation includes an assessment manual, standards guidance, and training and toolkits for audits and implementation.
