Chairperson and Managing Director of URS Certification - India 

Mukesh Singhal is the man responsible for setting up URS in India through his endeavour to form a joint venture with URS in the UK. A man with a great deal of personal charisma and commitment, Mr. Singhal has been the driving force behind setting up management system certifications in the country. 

Born in 1967, he previously owned a Management Advisory Firm where several organizations benefitted from his process improvement suggestions and personal expertise. Prior to URS, he contributed over a decade of proficient service in management improvements, making him an expert in various schemes and global standards.

He currently serves as the Managing Director of URS Certification Limited, a company that has risen to become a global leader in certification, servicing thousands of clients across the country and the globe. He also holds theposition of Deputy Managing Director of URS Global. His unwavering commitment to the highest principles and standards of professionalism has nurtured the URS family with an outstanding image in the industry. 

Mr. Singhal holds an Honours Graduate Degree and an MPhil in Management. More than 25 years of competent guidance and professional acumen URS being placed among the Top 5 certification bodies of the world. His successful leadership has commanded the company’s grown in diverse fields of certification – from public sector undertakings to government owned ones, multinational corporate and private organizations.  

His professional expertise doesn't end there – Mr. Mukesh Singhal also possesses a Diploma in TQM, Environment Science and Pollution control, information system audits and others. Besides, he is a Chartered Accountant and has written many articles on Management Discipline. His thirst for knowledge and its application has benefited URS as well as other organizations in their process improvements.

This person has chosen to share his professional and technical expertise with budding businessmen and future corporate employees by devoting some time to the noble profession of teaching. He is a visiting faculty to management and engineering colleges to impart his knowledge and skill in management and TQM.

Having travelled widely, Mukesh has undergone and delivered a number of training workshops and written several articles on Management discipline. Moreover, he is a research scholar on the subject and has presented a paper as well as delivered talks on the subjects of ‘Managing Total Quality’ and ‘Best Auditing Practice.’

This dynamic man has been featured on National TV many times where he delivered a live presentation on certification. Yet another feather in his illustrious cap is that he is an executive member of Indian Industries Association, Trustee and executive member of various educational and social organizations, where he utilizes his knowledge for the welfare of society.

Mr. Singhal is never short of new avenues to utilize is enriched auditing experience. He is the Lead Auditor on various independent assessment and certification schemes. Not only that, he is the Lead Faculty for delivering IRCA, UK accredited QMS, EMS, OHSAS and FSMS Lead audit courses as well.

Sincere, dynamic and always enthusiastic, Mr. Singhal has infused URS with his qualities, vision and spirit over the years, resulting in the company evolving by global standards. Expansion in Nepal, Middle East and the Saudi region has only contributed more to the growth of the company and motive – to strive for professional and personal excellence in all spheres of life.
