After Brexit, the UKCA Mark (United Kingdom Conformity Assessment) in Nagpur is a new product marking scheme announced by the United Kingdom which is applicable to all goods/ products shipped in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland).
At present, this new safety regulation is applicable for all the designated products that are subjected to ‘CE Marking’ in EU, prior to Brexit.
This Conformity Assessment Marking Scheme allows the manufacturers, importers & exporters to circulate their goods freely in Great Britain.
The implementation of this scheme is from 1st January 2021 according to UK legislation committee.
Though, this UK regulation is nearly similar with EU regulations, the CE marking will not be recognized from 1st January 2022 and full implementation of UKCA mark is mandatory.
This scheme covers the essential requirements focusing the safety as prime factor. The conformity assessment procedures and applicable harmonized standards for certain products shall be used to ascertain the Conformity under UKCA mark like the CE marking.
Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations of UK regulates the essential health and safety requirements of eligible machinery for the purpose of UKCA mark.
